Those astute readers (or at least those with impeccable memory) may recall my laments regarding phone calls from Nigeria. Well .... they're back!!
I've gotten roughly 15 calls from the same two Nigerian numbers in the past hour. I don't know if they are dialing the wrong number, or if my number used to belong to someone with Nigerian ties, or if I'm the heir to a Nigerian fortune! (I suspect it's door # 2)
I don't speak Hause, Igbo, Yoruba or Edo, and the woman on the line doesn't speak much english. So, my "wrong number" or "english" or "not here" doesn't get the message across. So they hang up and try again.
