38 weeks and more

Today marks 38 weeks. Officially two more weeks to go. Unofficially anytime within the month of September. That's right, it looks like I'm going to share my birthday month with the little one. All of my birthday parties from here on out will be shared. Wait, who am I kidding, all of my birthday parties from here on out will be taken over by pink princesses and ponies and barbie dolls. Unless of course we can train her to love the outdoors and then all of my birthday parties from here on out will be taken over by camo-princesses and pack mules and ... well ... barbies.

We're surprised that she waited for September (even if I am being presumptuous that she won't come in the next 16.5 hours). We're hoping that she stays in a few days longer to let Amanda recover from her sinus infection. At one point last week it looked like Amanda might go into labor while having the head cold and while having a tweaked back muscle. That would have made for a good time!

On another note I just fiished "Born to Run". Unless the running was part of a fast-paced game of hoops or ultimate frisbee I never felt that I was "Born to Run" myself. It's not my favorite thing in the world (neither are snow angels but they're near the top of the list), but it does keep me in [better] shape. I've been in a 10-week lull in my working out. My workout buddy is only 2 weeks away. The jogging stroller is all set. How soon can I bring her camping?

40 Days & 40 Nights

Today marks 40 days from the little one's due date. Of course she could be here in as little as 4 weeks, or she could take her sweet time and hold out another 8 weeks. We'll just have to wait and see.

I the meantime, I must declare that I have officially entered the umpa lumpa stage of pregnancy.
