Yesterday Amanda and I were reminiscing about our summer in New York when we recalled a funny event that we just have to share.
New York is rumored to have the best bagels, so our weekends would consist of going out and trying to find a new bagel shop. On one such occasion we went to a little deli on the "lower east side" of Manhattan and found a place that had giant sized bagels. Our conversation with the sales clerk went something like this:
Amanda: Poppyseed Bagel, toasted with Raspberry Schmear (cream cheese)
Clerk: Anything else?
Amanda: What type of Juice do you have?
Clerk: Juice?
Amanda: Yeah, Juice
Clerk: Well, Orthodox
Amanda & Me: [Confused]
Clerk: Reformed
Amanda & Me: [More Confused]
Clerk: Jews for Jesus
Amanda: No, not Jews, Juice, like Orange or Apple
Clerk: Oh, ok! I was wondering why you wanted to know about what type of Jews
